ASRock Rack TRX40D8-2N2T ATX Motherboard Builds Server with AMD Threadripper Processor

With a focus on these server builders, ASRock Rack introduced the TRX40D8-2N2T ATX motherboard is endowed with a server-level power subsystem, designed for long-term continuous operation, equipped with a good set of network interfaces and a remote control controller.

The sTRX4 board supports 3rd Gen Ryzen Threadripper processors (including 3990X), eight DDR4 DIMM slots supporting up to 256GB Quad Channel DDR4 memory, including ECC and non-ECC modules. The maximum memory speed is DDR4-3200.

Expansion options are provided by three PCI-Express 4.0 x16 slots and one PCI-Express 4.0 x8 open slot. To organize storage, there are eight SATA 6 Gb/s ports and two M.2-22110 slots, in which PCI-Express 4.0 x4 interfaces are laid.

The board is equipped with two 10 GbE ports on the Intel X710-AT2 controller and two 2.5 GbE ports on the Intel i225-LM controllers. The ASPEED AST2500 controller has its own GbE port and a D-Sub connector for a monitor. There is no built-in sound subsystem.

Last month, AS Rock has also made available the premium W480 Creator motherboard, which supports the 10th generation Intel Core Xeon W-1200 series, LGA1200 series processors with TDP up to 125W, four reinforced slots for DDR4 DIMMs can install up to 128GB of memory, dual-channel mode, and ECC (with Xeon W-1200 processors), priced at $449.99.
