With the Voigtlander Nokton 23mm f1.2 X, Cosina has introduced a second Aspheric lens with the Fujifilm X mount under its classic photo label Voigtländer. On the mirrorless system cameras from Fujifilm with their image sensors in APS-C format, this 23mm corresponds approximately to a 35mm focal length of 34.5mm and thus to a classic 35mm f1.2 lens, which is generally regarded as reporting optics.
The new Aspherical lens supplements the Nokton 35mm f1.2 (approx. $650 on Bhphotovideo), which in terms of corresponds to a typical, fast 50mm normal lens and was launched in the summer of 2021. With their light intensity of 1:1.2, both lenses offer plenty of potential for exposure and thus make particularly vivid reproduction of details possible. Like the 35mm f1.2, the new 35mm f1.2 is also equipped with 12 aperture blades and is said to deliver beautiful bokeh.
The Nokton 23mm f1.2 X was developed exclusively for the APS-C sensor and the Fujifilm cameras. The focal length on APS-C cameras corresponds to around 35 mm and thus represents the popular and universal focal length for reportage. A high light intensity of 1:1.2 ensures the considerable potential for exposure even with this moderate wide-angle. In addition, the new Nokton convinces with fine image quality across all f-stops.
As usual from Voigtländer, the new Aspheric lens is made exclusively of glass and metal and ensures full yet sensitive handling. Focusing is purely manual, the aperture can be set precisely in 1/3 increments, and the electrical contacts enable communication with the camera. Compact dimensions and a weight of only 214 grams make the new Nokton a pleasant daily companion in combination with any of the Fuji cameras.

The suggested retail price is $699 and is already available on the Amazon.com and Bhphotovideo.com online stores.
