Arctic Freezer 7 X CPU Cooling is Cheaper, and More Efficient than its Predecessor

The Arctic Freezer 7 X CPU Cooler system, designed for processors, is the successor to the Freezer 7 Pro model in the Arctic catalog. According to the manufacturer, the new fan cooler model is better and cheaper because of a more efficient production process.

The general scheme of the CPU cooling system remained unchanged – it is a tower with U-shaped copper CPU heat pipes, an aluminum radiator and one fan cooler on it. The diameter of the tubes is the same – 6 mm, but their number is reduced from three to two. True, now they are in contact with the processor cover directly, and not through a copper base.

As with Freezer 7 Pro, the MX-2 thermal paste is pre-coated at the point of contact. The tubes remove heat to 44 radiator plates 0.4 mm thick each, on which a 92 mm fan is mounted, optimized by the criterion for the generated pressure. It has five blades, not seven, as before. The rotation speed using PWM is adjustable in the range of 300-2000 rpm.

The fan on the sides and the upper part of the radiator are covered with a plastic casing, according to the manufacturer, making the CPU cooling system “visually impressive.” Allegedly, the new system is almost 10% more efficient than the Freezer 7 Pro.

The dimensions are 74.3 x 110.5 x 132.5 mm, weighs 425 grams. It is compatible with AMD processors in the performance of FM1, FM2, FM2 +, AM3, AM3 + and AM4, as well as the Intel processor performance of the LGA 775, 115x and 1200.
