Archos seems to willingly take part in the MWC 2018 with a range of devices ever more varied: not only smartphones, but also an Android-powered electric scooter was announced yesterday, and today is a new ‘ Hello ‘Smart Display”, a product which falls in the category of Amazon Eco Show like devices.
It’s called Archos Hello Smart Display, as the most famous competitor, integrates a screen, indeed it comes in two variants: one with 7-inch HD IPS display and the other one with an 8.4-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen display.
Both can be placed vertically or horizontally and are powered by the Android Oreo operating system that deals with managing voice requests, objects, and services control as well as video calls and many more other not specified series of functionality that will be clarified later.
Archos Hello supports Google Assistant, has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It packs four long-range multidirectional microphones, a 5 MP camera, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and a battery of 4000mAh.
To be specified that the software release is just Android Oreo and not the slightest release of Assistant for smart display was launched at the CES 2018 and which based on Android Things.
Further details on the both Archos Hello Smart Display will be unveiled at the MWC 2018 event in Barcelona. It will be available from summer 2018 and pricing starts at $160 for the 7-inch model and $223 for the 8.4 inch model.
