Garmin introduced two new Garmin golf watches this week. The two new GPS golf watches for men Approach S12 and Approach S42 are primarily intended for golfers, but some also offer other smartwatch functions.

Both new golf watch models are equipped with GPS and support golfers with many different functions. The clocks on over 42,000 preinstalled golf courses worldwide use GPS to automatically recognize which hole is currently being played and support the player with precise information on the distance to the green, obstacles and doglegs.

Also, the GreenView function allows the actual shape of the green to be viewed regardless of the golfer’s position. In combination with the separately available Approach CT10 racket sensors from the manufacturer hit statistics can be recorded. And in a duet with the Garmin Golf App, or you could also check out best golf Apps, scorecards can be automatically uploaded after each game and live scorings and analyzes of the strokes scored can be viewed.

The Approach S12 is the cheaper of the two new Garmin golf watch GPS devices. It is equipped with a 1.3-inch display on which important information is shown particularly clearly in large number mode. According to the manufacturer, the battery should last up to 30 hours in golf mode, which is enough for several rounds of golf.

It is available now for $199.99 on Amazon.com in Black, White, and Granite Blue color options.

The Approach S42, which is also new, is slightly more expensive at $299.99 and it can also be purchased through Amazon.com in Gunmetal Ceramic Bezel with Black Silicone band, Rose Gold Ceramic Bezel with Tan Silicone band, and Silver Ceramic Bezel with White Silicone band.

It is a higher-quality golf watch that has a 1.2-inch touch display. Your battery lasts up to 15 hours in golf mode, but only half as long. There is, among other things, an AutoShot function for automatic range measurement as well as pre-installed sports apps and fitness functions for other sports. It also offers the usual functions for smartwatches, such as notifications and calls directly from the smartphone.
