The TPV Technology subsidiary AOC has released a new 280Hz curved gaming monitor called Gaming C27G4ZXE. The 27-inch has a curved Fast VA panel with full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), achieves a maximum refresh rate of 280 Hz, and can handle HDR10. The AOC panel has a 1 ms response time (gray to gray), a high contrast ratio of 4000:1, and a typical power consumption of 30 watts.
The specs also state 8-bit color depth, 300 cd/m² brightness, 125.7 percent sRGB, and 92.4% DCI-P3. Users can choose whether to use Adaptive Sync to eliminate unsightly image tearing in games or to use a mode to prevent blurring in moving images. The OSD also offers gaming functions such as a black stabilizer, an FPS display, and a crosshair overlay. Regarding interfaces, there are two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, and a headphone output.
Incidentally, the 280 Hz refresh rate is only possible with the DisplayPort; in contrast, HDMI supports a maximum of 240 Hz. Regarding ergonomics, the monitor includes tilt adjustment, VESA mount compatibility (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and flicker-free backlighting. Additionally, the AOC Gaming C27G4ZXE, which weighs 4.05 kg without the stand, comes with a three-year warranty.
