The Taiwanese company AOC has launched a 27″ curved WQHD gaming monitor on the US market. The AOC CQ27G4ZH has a VA panel with WQHD 2560 x 1440 resolution and a refresh rate of up to 300 Hz. In addition to a high contrast value, 10-bit color depth is promised. It comes with ergonomic adjustments and broad console compatibility.

Adaptive Sync on the monitor is present as an anti-tearing measure. Alternatively, the monitor could include a mode to reduce motion blur, with an MPRT (“Moving Picture Response Time”) of at least 0.3 ms. The display supports HDR10 to enhance contrast and color vibrancy, achieving a dynamic contrast ratio of 80,000,000:1 and a typical brightness of 300 nits.
Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, and a 3.5mm audio output. The monitor also includes an anti-theft (Kensington) lock slot for added security and an HDMI cable. For ergonomic adjustments, the stand offers height adjustment of up to 130mm, tilt (-5° to 23°), swivel (±20°), and rotation (90° in either direction), allowing for flexible positioning. The Adaptive-Sync feature reduces screen tearing, while the Low Blue Light mode and Flicker-Free technology should help reduce eye strain during extended use.
Color performance includes 91% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB coverage, with HDR10 support for better contrast and color gamut. Other features include a Black Equalizer for improved shadow detail, Game Color Adjustment, Preset Game Modes, Motion Blur Reduction, Shadow Control, and a Frame Counter.
