The Taiwanese company AOC has introduced the 25G4SXU, a new PC monitor suitable for esports. The 24.5-inch model features a Fast IPS panel with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), a maximum refresh rate of 310 Hz, and a 1 ms grayscale response. In addition to 117 percent sRGB, it boasts 400 cd/m² brightness, 8-bit color depth, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio.
G-Sync-compatible Adaptive Sync is an anti-tearing measure, with an alternative mode available to combat blurred motion. A special low-input lag mode, presumably ALLM, is also available. Furthermore, a crosshair overlay, an FPS display, or a black stabilizer can be activated or adjusted upon request. Modern game consoles support a maximum of Full HD at 120 Hz.
On the connectivity side, there are two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, a USB 3.0 hub, and a headphone output. HDMI is limited to a maximum of 240 Hz, so only the DisplayPort supports the full 310 Hz. The ergonomics are impressive, with tilt, swivel, height adjustment (130 mm), pivot, VESA mounting (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and a flicker-free backlight.
AOC 25G4SXU Price and Release Date
The HDR10-capable AOC 25G4SXU has a typical power consumption of 30 watts. Moreover, it is now available for just £249 on Amazon.co.uk. In addition, the manufacturer offers a three-year warranty.
In addition to this 310 Hz monitor, AOC recently introduced the Agon Pro AG276FK 27-inch gaming monitor with a refresh rate of 520 Hz, a response time of 0.5 milliseconds, 94.4% DCI-P3, 94.3% Adobe RGB, and 119.8% sRGB. Amazon UK sells it for just £419.98.
