The 2024 HP Pavilion Aero 13 retains its lightweight 997-gram chassis from the previous model but now offers stronger performance with the AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS and additional upgrades.
HP has upgraded one of its lightest notebooks while preserving its key feature: the 997-gram magnesium casing. The processor is particularly new, as buyers can choose between an AMD Ryzen 5 8640U, a Ryzen 7 8840U, and a Ryzen 7 8840HS – remarkable, as last year the device was still limited to processors from the more economical U series.
HP replaced the disappointing 720p webcam of the previous model with a 5-megapixel camera that, thanks to the infrared sensor, supports Windows login via facial recognition. The disadvantage of this change is that the upper edge of the screen is slightly wider. The ultrabook has a 13-inch display in 16:10 format, which achieves a brightness of 400 nits and can fully display the sRGB color space. The IPS panel has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels or 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, depending on the variant.
Regarding the 2024 HP Pavilion Aero 13 specs, it has up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x-6,400 RAM and a maximum of 1 TB SSD. The laptop has two USB-C ports (10 Gbit/s), two USB-A, HDMI 2.1, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. You can charge the 43 Wh battery via USB-C at up to 65 watts. Keyboard lighting is standard on the new model.

Furthermore, the HP AI laptop features a 17.3″ IPS display with 1440p resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, and 300nit brightness. Additionally, the 83 Wh battery supports charging at up to 230 watts. As a result, the HP Omen 17 2024 is available for $1,149.99.
