Product (RED) is a project that supports manufacturers to make a Red edition of any product and sells it to raise money for a fund to fight HIV/AIDS. Most recently with Amazon joined the Echo (2nd Gen) Smart speaker Product (RED) edition. Price and configuration remain the same at $99.99 but Amazon will offer at $69.99 during Black Friday sales.
Amazon Echo (RED) is designed as a normal version, except the outer shell is covered with red cloth, the red color is characteristic of this project. Each 2nd Gen speaker sold will be donated by Amazon for $10 to the fundraiser, even if it is discounted. If you find a Product that is labeled Product (RED), then a portion of your purchase will be donated, meaning you are doing well.
Amazon Echo is a personal assistant speaker aimed at integrating with smart home devices. It is a voice-activated device which can play music or news, control home automation such as lighting and temperature and order products from Amazon.
It can access news, weather, streaming music and more using wireless Internet connections. Echo can also be managed remotely using free applications built for smartphones powered by Apple, Android or Amazon’s Fire OS.
