Amazon’s CEO, Jeff Bezos confirmed that there will be launching a completely new Kindle tablet this week, and now we have the first leaked pictures of this new Kindle. Accordingly, the new Kindle is expected to be called Oasis – Kindle Oasis and has a completely different design than previous Kindle models.
According to pictures, we will see that new Amazon Kindle Oasis to have a big physical back button – a page turning buttons on one side for a better grip on the device. Users can take advantage of the touch screen or button on the Oasis to turn pages. There is inbuilt accelerometer, the screen will also be rotational so user can read the book on Kindle Oasis no matter from which side the users will hold the device, Oasis will automatically adjust the appropriate interface.
Amazon seems to hold Kindle users in the form of a party with an Oasis perfect grip section at the bottom, it feels more comfortable to lean the fingers. In terms of hardware features, the Kindle Oasis will feature 6.0-inch display (Kindle Voyage ebook reader) with a pixel density of 300ppi that helps to reach sharper images and fonts will become easier to read. In addition, Kindle Oasis expected to weigh around 131g (20% lighter than previous models), and the 3.4mm thinnest point and 8.5mm thickest.
And yet, also rumored some Amazon Kindle Oasis accessories such as a leather rechargeable battery case. It’s in shape like a Flip Cover leather screen protector, but it also helps extend battery life of Kindle Oasis, standby time will reportedly go up to 20 months. More news on accessory, it will have three color options to choose such as Black, Brown and Red, and integrated battery will operate with a battery of Oasis. According to sources, Oasis also features a ‘dual-battery system’, with the Kindle’s battery and the leather case charging simultaneously when connected to an power source, and case’s battery being used before the ebook reader’s when unplugged.
