Amazon Echo Show is finally ready to interact with British users just a five months after launch in the American market. The new Echo family member features a 7-inch touchscreen display, along with all the Alexa voice assistant features.
The Echo Show measures 187 x 187 x 90 mm and weighs 1,170 grams. It comes with a large touchscreen display and can perform multiple functions. Obviously, it could not miss Alexa, the ‘voice assistant’ that can interact with users to activate all functions.
With Alexa, you can check weather forecasts, stream video, read the lyrics of songs on Amazon Music. There is also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera so you can make hands-free voice and video calls. Of course, both parties needed same or other Echo or Echo Dot products with Alexa App to perform these tasks.
Like other devices is supported Echo’s integration with other “smart home” devices. You can then control lights, security systems, and other home appliances as well. Music can be streamed from services like Pandora, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and TuneIn. To complete the device with the eight microphones integrated with noise cancellation.
Coming to the technical specifications, the product is powered by an Intel Atom x5-Z8350 processor. The connectivity includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n dual-band and Bluetooth (A2DP and AVRCP). The sound is played via two 2″ speakers, while the audio processing is provided by Dolby.
