After several rumors spread in recent weeks, AmazFit officially launches its new rugged GPS sports watch. We are talking about the AmazFit T-Rex Pro, an “enhanced” version of the T-Rex that was announced last year at CES 2020. Several changes and improvements have been introduced including a new body that is even more resistant and waterproof.
On an aesthetic level, practically nothing changes compared to the T-Rex exercise watch but the new polycarbonate case has received a military-type certification (MIL-STD-810G) which certifies its resistance to mechanical stress, scratches, shocks, and thermal shocks (from – 40 ° C to 70 ° C degrees). In addition to this T-Rex Pro sport watch is waterproof up to 100 meters deep and up to 10 ATM.
The display measures 1.3-inch diagonal and offer a resolution of 360×360 pixels, it is protected by a Gorilla Glass 3 with oleophobic treatment. But so far we have talked about features that even the previous T-Rex could count on. The real news is hidden under the body and, although invisible, they are still very interesting.

Compared to the previous AmazFit watches, the sensor for detecting heartbeat, BioTracker 2 PPG, has been updated, the blood oxygenation monitoring function has been inserted and improved and new ways of tracking sports activity have been added for a total of about 100 activities.

The new AmazFit T-Rex Pro rugged GPS sports watch is available to buy on Amazon.com at a list price of $179.99 in Meteorite Black, Steel Blue, and Desert Grey color options.
Earlier this month, Mobvoi has introduced the successor to the TicWatch Pro 2020 – TicWatch Pro S. The Snapdragon Wear 2100 is again used as the SoC, but Mobvoi has increased the memory for apps and offline music. In terms of price, the Wear OS Google Smartwatch costs $259.99 only.
