Epson has announced the Expression Home XP-5200 multifunction all in one printer scanner (MFP) for home use. The best printer scanner combines the capabilities of a printer, scanner, and copier with support for wireless Wi-Fi.
The MFP uses proprietary PrecisionCore technology. At the heart of this system is an innovative PrecisionCore Micro TFP printed chip developed by Epson engineers. It is a piezoelectric element with a thickness of not more than 1 mm, a system of chambers and channels through which ink flows, as well as a printhead plate that pushes ink drops onto paper. The technology provides high speed and rich colors.
The Expression Home XP-5200 supports a maximum print resolution of 4800 × 1200 DPI (dots per inch). The speed reaches 14 pages per minute in monochrome and 7.5 pages per minute in color. Automatic two-sided printing and borderless photo printing have been implemented.
The all in one printer scanner comes with a 2.4-inch display, Wi-Fi 4 802.11 b/g/n, a USB port, and a 150-sheet paper tray. Voice control from a smartphone via Alexa, Siri, or Google Assistant is possible.
The XP-5200 is versatile with Wi-Fi for printing and scanning wirelessly and Wi-Fi Direct for printing without a wireless network. Copy and print without a computer using its 6.1cm LCD screen, use paper efficiently with A4 double-sided printing and minimize refills with the 150-sheet paper cassette. The Expression Home XP-5200 measures 375 x 503 x 187mm in operating mode, and its weight is 5.4 kg.
