Alienware m16 2023 with Core i9-13900HX, next-gen GeForce/AMD Radeon graphics, and plenty of ports

The Alienware m16 2023 has officially broken cover with 16-inch QHD+/FHD+ displays with a 16:10 aspect ratio, Core i9-13900HX, and next-gen GeForce RTX 40 /AMD Radeon graphics. The laptop measures 289.9 x 368.9 x 25.4 mm. Also, the laptop is equipped with an 86 Whr battery which can be recharged with a supplied 330 W adapter.

Dell unveiled the Alienware m16 at CES 2023. The laptop features the latest Intel Raptor Lake mobile processors along with unspecified next-gen AMD Ryzen chips.

The design of the Alienware m16 2023 is in line with other Alienware gaming laptops, for example, the x14 R2. Dell claims to have modified the perimeter foot to increase airflow from the bottom of the chassis. When it comes to airflow, the Alienware m16 uses a vapor chamber and Element 31 thermal paste to cool the CPU and GPU.

The Alienware m16 comes with both Intel and AMD processors. The processors offered are the 14-core Core i7-13650HX, the 16-core Core i7-13700HX, and the 24-core Core i9-13900HX. On the GPU side, Dell hints at next-gen Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 and AMD Radeon graphics.

When it comes to memory and storage, Dell offers a whole host of different options. For example, you have the option of opting for 16, 32, or 64 GB of user-replaceable 4800 MHz DDR5 memory. The laptop also has four m.2 slots. Dell offers up to 9TB of PCIe storage as an option.

As for the screen, users can choose between three different panels. There’s a 16-inch QHD+ (2560×1600) display with a 165Hz refresh rate, another QHD+ display with a 240Hz refresh rate, and an FHD+ display with a 480Hz refresh rate. All three displays have a peak brightness of 300 nits, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and a response time of 3 ms. They also feature 100% sRGB or DCI-P3 gamut coverage, Nvidia G-SYNC, AMD FreeSync, and Dell’s ComfortView Plus blue light reduction technology.

Also, the Alienware m16 2023 comes with plenty of ports. On the left is a single Ethernet port, a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack, and a single USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port with PowerShare. On the back, we have a DC input for power, two Thunderbolt 4 ports with 15W Power Delivery and DisplayPort 1.4, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, a mini-Display port, and an SD card slot of normal size.

Dell also offers several keyboard options with the Alienware m16. For example, you can choose the Alienware M series 1-zone keyboard or the AlienFX RGB per-key keyboard. It is also possible to opt for an ultra-slim CherryMX mechanical keyboard for laptops with AlienFX per-key lighting.
