Dell has introduced a new 34″ QHD ultrawide monitor for PC gamers. The curved Alienware AW3425DWM. It features a 34-inch VA panel with UWQHD resolution (3440 x 1440p, 21:9), a 180 Hz refresh rate, and DisplayHDR 400 certification.
The contrast ratio is 3000:1, while the response time is just 1 ms (gray to gray). Additionally, the color depth reaches 10 bits, and the power consumption is 32 watts. Moreover, the DCI-P3 coverage stands at 95 percent, and the typical brightness is 400 cd/m².
FreeSync Premium ensures tear-free gaming. Those planning to use the device with a modern game console will appreciate ALLM (“Auto Low Latency Mode”) and VRR (“Variable Refresh Rate”). No KVM switch is on board, but picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes are available.
On the connectivity side, there are two HDMI 2.1 inputs, along with a DisplayPort 1.4 (DSC) and a USB 3.0 hub. Additionally, the 34-inch QHD ultrawide 1440p model provides excellent ergonomic features, including tilt, swivel, and height adjustment (110 mm). Moreover, it supports VESA mounting (100 x 100 mm) and includes blue light filtering and flicker-free backlighting for improved comfort.
