Alienware AW2524HF 500Hz gaming monitor with 0.5 ms Refresh rate

Dell has recently unveiled its latest 500Hz gaming monitor, the Alienware AW2524HF, promising a staggering refresh rate of up to 500 Hz for an unparalleled gaming experience.

Dell Alienware AW2524HF 500Hz display

This 24.5-inch 500Hz display, designed specifically for gamers, boasts an uncompromising 500 Hz refresh rate, ensuring a remarkably smooth display. In OC mode, the maximum refresh rate reaches an astounding 500 Hz, although natively, the panel maintains an impressive 480 Hz refresh rate. The gray-to-gray response time varies between 0.5 to one millisecond, offering players optimal performance.

Despite its exceptional refresh rate, the AW2524HF features a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, adhering to the Full HD standard. Achieving the highest refresh rate requires a DisplayPort connection; HDMI, on the other hand, supports up to 255 Hz. The 500Hz screen provides versatile connectivity options, featuring an HDMI input and two DisplayPorts. While AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA AdaptiveSync are supported, Nvidia Reflex and Nvidia G-Sync are not included in the package.

With a brightness rating of 400 cd/m² and an impressive 99 percent coverage of the sRGB color space, the AW2524HF ensures vibrant and accurate visuals. Additionally, the monitor features a USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub with three ports, enhancing overall connectivity options. Its ergonomic design allows height adjustment, tilting, and rotation, and it’s VESA mount compatible (100 x 100 mm).

Weighing 3.65 kilograms without the stand, the 500 Hz Alienware screen incorporates convenient cable management. However, it lacks an ambient light sensor, meaning the lighting cannot be adjusted automatically based on ambient conditions.

Price and availability

The Dell Alienware AW2524HF, offering the groundbreaking 500 Hz refresh rate, is now listed on Amazon.com at the price of $649.99.
