The completely redesigned Alienware Area-51 gaming tower with Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 is now available. The brand-new design makes the gaming PC 45 percent quieter and simplifies subsequent upgrades.

With dimensions of 61 x 56.9 x 23.2 centimeters and a case volume of 80.5 liters, the Area-51 is anything but compact. However, the new model is also said to be particularly easy to maintain. Dell uses an ATX format motherboard that can connect the graphics card and an SSD via PCIe 5.0 and offers space for graphics cards up to 45 centimeters long and 4 slots wide.
Reports indicate that the gaming tower can run the processor continuously at up to 300 watts and the graphics card at up to 600 watts. Dell places QR codes on numerous components that lead to videos showing how to replace or upgrade the respective components. The 34.5-kilogram tower features RGB lighting, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support, and a wide range of ports, including two Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports.
Alienware Area-51 Desktop Price and Availability
The new Alienware Area-51 gaming tower announced at CES in January, is now available on Amazon US and Amazon UK. The base model with an Intel Core Ultra 9 series 2 processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 with 16 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, 32 GB of DDR5 6400 RAM, and a 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD Alienware Area-51 cost £3,999. Alienware Area-51 desktop price is £5,699 for an upgrade to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080, 64 GB of DDR5 6400 RAM, and a 4 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

Regardless of the configuration you choose, Dell equips the system with a 1,500-watt power supply and installs an AiO liquid cooler for the processor, featuring a 360-millimeter radiator. This means that Dell is charging a high price for the Area-51’s new design; the new Alienware Aurora with a Core Ultra 7 265F, GeForce RTX 5080, 32 GB RAM, and 2 TB SSD, for example, costs “only” €3,599. The brand-new cooling system justifies the premium, among other things, making the new Area-51 13 percent cooler and 45 percent quieter than its direct predecessor.
