Starting this week, users can make Skype calls through Alexa powered Amazon devices. Devices running Alexa can call Skype over Microsoft ‘s VoIP platform, even users can video call thanks to the screen on the Echo Show. On this occasion, Microsoft also offered users 100 minutes of free Skype calling for two months (in total 200 minutes) when you connected your Skype account to Alexa.

The combination of Skype and Alexa is the latest achievement of the two Amazon and Microsoft technology giants. When both sides have cooperated fully last year for Cortana and Alexa to work together, the Alexa application is also available on the Xbox One and Windows 10. Recently Microsoft also officially sold Amazon Alexa devices on its store.
