Alcatel has announced the new mid-range smartphone of its already present Idol smartphone series: Alcatel Idol 5 At IFA 2017. The device has a 7.5mm thin metal uni-body and it comes with a 5.2-inch IPS display with FHD (1920×1080) resolution and a 2.5D curved glass layer on top of it.
The Idol 5 is powered by MediaTek MT6753 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expandable via micro SD. The battery capacity is a 2800mAh and the device runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
For optics, the Alcatel Idol 5 features a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and FHD (1080p) video recording at 30fps. There is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a f/2.4 aperture with HD (720p) video recording at 30fps. The device also features a Dual Social Accounts functionality that gives you the opportunity to run one social app with two different accounts.
