AirPods 3 with Spatial Audio and MagSafe, and News for HomePod mini and Apple Music

Apple’s Unleashed launch event is dominated by the MacBook Pro as well as the M1 Pro and M1 Max, but the first new releases came from Apple’s music corner. In addition to a new voice plan for Apple Music and something new for the HomePod mini, Apple also presented the third generation of AirPods with few exciting new features. Let’s figure out what are the price and AirPods 3 release date below.

AirPods 3 release date

The Apple Unleashed event started with loads of new products for audio and music fans. The focus here is on the new AirPods 3, which as the third generation inherit some of the AirPods Pro (available for $197 on Amazon), not only in terms of design but also in terms of features. The sweat- and water-resistant True Wireless Earbuds support Spatial Audio and Adaptive EQ for the first time, both of which users of the Pro Earbuds have known for a long time.

The audio quality has been improved thanks to a new Apple custom driver, and the battery life has also increased. Specifically, Apple promises six hours of uninterrupted music playback, should that not be enough, five minutes in the charging case should provide another hour of music. The new charging case, which now explicitly supports MagSafe in addition to wireless charging, has a total of 30 hours of running time for the new AirPods 3.

HomePod mini in new colors and Voice Plan for Apple Music

Apple did not present a new Homepod mini, but there are now fresh color options for the well-known Smart Speaker with Siri support, namely yellow, orange and blue, in addition to the well-known variants white and gray. The new Apple Home Pod mini should be available in November, and the price is still $99. For all Apple Music fans, there will also be a new voice plan in the future, which does not support spatial audio or lossless audio but costs only $4.99 per month and works exclusively with Siri on Apple devices. Another new feature in Apple Music is playlist support that can also be used with the new Voice Plan.
