Adam Audio introduces New T8V Studio Monitor Speakers: Big bass for Little Money

Adam Audio introduces us to the new T8V studio monitor speaker. The latest woofer speaker model of the T-series wants to reconcile good workmanship, official performance, and an affordable price.

If you make music that depends on the bass, you are of course always happy when the monitor speakers can reproduce it properly. The T8V wants to make this possible and offers an 8-inch bass-midrange driver with a powerful amplifier. The bass goes down to 33 Hz here, the woofer speaker brings a sound pressure of 118 dB.

The Class D amplifiers provide 70 watts for the woofer, the tweeter gets 20 watts. Its U-ART tweeter (Unique Accelerated Ribbon Tweeter) is mated to a sophisticated waveguide with the same dispersion-control attributes as the HPS waveguide in the S-Series.

Otherwise, there are the features already known from the T-series: the housing design with the beveled edges, the rear bass reflex opening, DSP-controlled crossovers, equalizer, and numerous analog connection options. The rear panel offers balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs and controls for input sensitivity, gain, high shelf, and low shelf.

If you need even more bass, you can operate the T8V with the in-house T10S sub woofer just like all other studio monitor speakers in the series. That sounds like a very suitable monitor speaker box for home studios, which should appeal to many people precisely because of the very low price.
