Acer’s new Chromebook 15 with 12-Hour Battery Life Launched at $199

Acer has taken the wraps off its new Chromebook 15 CB3-531-C4A5 and CB3-532-C47C models. The laptops are priced starting $198, so if you’re in the market for a premium-looking affordable laptop, you will want to stop by Acer’s store. With the Acer Chromebook 15, the Taiwanese manufacturer is trying to give Chromebook users more affordable choice in the 15-inch screen segment. Acer’s new Chromebook offers a 15.6-inch TFT LCD display with HD (1366 x 768 pixels) resolution placed inside an all-metal chassis.

Acer says the new Chromebook 15 CB3-531-C4A5 model with a 3220mAh battery can last for up to 8 hours, whereas the other CB3-532-C47C model with 3950mAh battery will give you up to 12 hours of action on a single charge.

As for the processor, Acer is giving users a choice to pick between: Acer Chromebook 15 CB3 531 C4A5 model is powered by dual-core 2.16GHz Intel Celeron N2830 processor and Acer Chromebook 15 CB3 532 C47C fueled with a dual-core 1.6GHz Intel Celeron N3060 processor. Other features include a 2GB of LPDDR3 SDRAM, and 16GB of eMMC for storage.

Of course, the new Acer Chromebook 15 comes with the Chrome OS interface, which means eventual support for Android apps on the laptop.
