After experiencing the Acer Swift Go 14 AI with many new artificial intelligence features, we realized it would be a strong competitor, directly challenging high-end laptops from Asus, Lenovo, and HP once its AI capabilities are optimized.
Acer Swift Go 14 AI Review
Design: Simple Yet Sophisticated
One thing that is quite impressive about this laptop is the thickness of the screen edge and the body. However, when folded, it is only 1.5cm thin.
Although it belongs to the Swift series, this laptop still has a design that is 90% similar to the Aspire series. So, what accounts for the remaining 10%? The camera cluster protrudes higher, giving it a more professional and advanced appearance. The radiator grille extends right next to the bottom of the screen, accompanied by many large air vents.
When the laptop is folded, from above, you only see a simple A-side with the “ACER” logo engraved on the smooth surface. From other angles, you will see two hinge legs and a radiator grille that looks quite strong like gaming laptops.
When I put this laptop on the table to take pictures, the design language gives the impression of mechanical and professional, although the appearance is not too new.
It’s been a while since I’ve used an Ultrabook with a two-sided hinge instead of the usual single-axis. However, the laptop is still sturdy and feels light and comfortable to open and close. When used, there is no shaking at all.
Opening the lid, the Acer Swift Go 14 AI has a screen cluster with quite thin and even borders on all four sides. The bottom edge contains the brand logo but is still not thick. I find this design both beautiful and high-end, providing a comfortable listening and viewing experience.
The Copilot button on the keyboard indicates that this is a new-generation AI laptop, distinct from Acer’s previous Ultrabooks. Next to the Delete button is a key with the Acer signature “a” symbol, which activates the AcerSense software. I will discuss this feature in more detail later.
Connection Ports: Comprehensive Layout
It seems that to bring a familiar feeling like when using a MacBook, Acer has integrated 2 ThunderBolt 4 ports for this laptop, doubling the utility. One port is for charging, while the other supports data transfer and output to an external screen. It is hard to deny the versatility of this Type-C port.
The remaining ports are standard, including USB-A 3.2, HDMI, 3.5mm AUX, and a Micro SD card reader—features commonly found on most Ultrabooks. On the outside, there is a Kensington lock port marked by a lock icon. However, most users typically do not need this type of lock and may not pay much attention to it.
Display: Effective Anti-Glare Coating
To recap the specs, our Acer Swift Go 14 AI review model features a 14-inch 2.8K resolution OLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The display has a 120Hz refresh rate, Eyesafe 2.0 eye protection technology, and VESA HDR True Black 500 certification.
First, let me discuss the screen coating. Most OLED laptops lack anti-glare coatings, or if they do have one, it is quite minimal and does not reduce light reflections significantly.
The Acer Swift Go 14 AI is different, the coating is made moderately thin, still visible to the naked eye. When viewing images, the bright spots of light bulbs or external light are processed and turned into soft and smooth light streaks, which do not affect image quality, are not dazzling, and further enhance the beauty of the screen.
As an OLED screen, it delivers stunning images and colors. There is hardly any content on the Acer Swift Go 14 AI’s display that I find unsightly. Everything is enhanced: high brightness, clear images, sharp details, vibrant colors, providing a great viewing experience.
For content with dark scenes, such as live music shows or night scenes, the Acer Swift Go 14 AI’s screen performs excellently. Blacks are deep, clear, and realistic, and objects on dark backgrounds are well-defined.
OLED displays are indispensable for photo editing, video clips, and visual content creation. If you need a laptop for light professional graphics work and smooth gaming, the Acer Swift Go 14 AI is worth considering.
Upon further evaluating the QHD webcam on the Acer Swift Go 14 AI, I find the image quality to be quite good. It’s neither overly detailed nor exceptional but is stable and comes with the Windows Studio Effects toolkit for more professional meetings.
Good Keyboard, Unique Trackpad
The Acer Swift Go 14 AI keyboard scores high, featuring short, smooth key travel and a sleek button surface. The typing experience is excellent, offering fast and responsive feedback.
The key travel is shallow, similar to typing on a MacBook’s Scissor Switch, but with greater fluidity. The typing experience, from fingertip to keypress, is highly satisfying. The even keys enable quick, fluid typing, and the well-finished key surface avoids glossiness and slipperiness.
The trackpad is unique in its large size, smooth surface, and responsive touch. When opening YouTube or media, the trackpad displays a fully functional touch playback controller, including full-screen zoom and mute.
Acer Swift Go 14 AI review test
Our Acer Swift Go 14 AI review unit features an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H CPU, one of today’s most powerful processors, along with 16GB of RAM and integrated iGPU Arc Graphics with NPU AI. It can upgrade RAM to 32GB, ensuring long-term use, and uses PCIe Gen 4 SSD for fast and stable read and write speeds.
The performance of Core Ultra 7 155H on Cinebench R23 reached more than 13,000 points, demonstrating good image processing capabilities, and meeting all graphics needs from basic to advanced.
Geekbench 6 scores over 12,000 in multi-core, and the Intel Arc Graphics GPU scores over 33,000, suitable for mixed work and multitasking.
Measuring with PCMark 10 software further proves the versatility of this laptop and the excellent performance power for all purposes. From daily to core tasks, productivity, digital content creation, and gaming are outstanding and worthy in the price range.

Acer Swift Go 14 AI features AcerSense, an all-in-one AI software, unlike any other AI laptop. AcerSense enables fast and flawless image editing and post-production with AI.
With AcerSense, you can easily take a photo, remove the background, adjust the shape, color, and details of the image, and add fun stickers. Features like Live Art, Generative AI, and Alter View allow you to create animations, create images based on text descriptions, and create dynamic effects.
In particular, Generative AI provides good support for high-end graphics tasks, helping to shorten creative time and deliver the desired smart visual results.
Enjoy Casual Games
I often play League of Legends and Zenless Zone Zero on the Acer Swift Go 14 AI. League of Legends has simple graphics, so it runs smoothly at max settings with FPS consistently above 100.
Zenless Zone Zero features anime graphics with complex effects and movements, which demand considerable GPU resources. Consequently, I set the game to Low settings to maintain smooth performance, with FPS fluctuating around 60.
Up to 7 Hours of Battery Life
The Intel Core Ultra 7 performance optimization on the Acer Swift Go 14 AI significantly reduces battery life. In the same segment, the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED AI using Intel Core Ultra 5 has a battery life of nearly 12 hours.
The Acer Swift Go 14 AI offers over 7 hours of battery life on a full charge. This provides enough power for a full working day and you can quickly recharge it via the USB-C port.
