Acer Swift 5 SF514-56T uses Intel Alder Lake processors in a CNC machined unibody chassis. However, Acer has yet to confirm which processors it will offer in the Swift 5, which is also the case with the new Swift 3. Based on last year’s model, the Swift 5 will feature Alder Lake-U series processors like the Core i5-1235U and Core i7-1265U.

Additionally, the SF514-56T features a 14-inch 2560 x 1600 pixel display with an aspect ratio of 16:10. Acer claims the display has a 92.22% screen-to-body ratio, and it comes with a 1080p webcam. Additionally, the Swift 5 will have LPDDR5 RAM and PCIe Gen4 storage. According to Acer, the Swift supports up to 16GB of dual-channel RAM and 2TB of storage. Incidentally, Acer’s fine print confirms that the Swift 5 has two M.2 2280 slots, both with PCIe Gen 4 support. Each M.2 2280 slot is only compatible with drives 1 TB maximum.

Acer adds that the Swift 5 SF514-56T weighs 1.2kg and is 14.95mm thick, despite having an aluminum casing. In addition, the new Swift 5 has a fingerprint reader compatible with Windows Hello integrated into its power button and Intel Evo verification. Acer rates the SF514-56T at 10 hours of battery life, while a 30-minute charge should get up to 4 hours of battery life.
