Acer Swift 3 and Swift 1 Laptops for Mobility Announced

Acer at its Next@Acer event in New York unveils two new Swift series laptops, the Swift 3 and Swift 1. Let’s start with the Acer Swift 3 has a portable slim design yet powerful and solid thanks to the brushed aluminum chassis. Equipped with backlit keyboard, available in three colors and with 14 and 15.6 FHD display, powered by Kaby Lake U Series (Core i3 / i5 / i7) processors with DDR4 or LPDDR3 and SSD / HDD storage up to 2TB.

The graphics can be integrated or dedicated (Nvidia), support a HD webcam, backlit keyboard, and USB 3.1 Type-C port. Speaking of battery life, Acer claims up to 10 hours, while the weight is about 2.2 kg (15.6″). Acer is also expected to release Swift 3 Special Edition 14″ version.

Coming to the Acer Swift 1 is a more economical and more compact with its 13.3-inch FHD display and weighs 1.3kg. It also comes in three colors – Pure Silver, Luxury Gold, and Sakura Pink, specifications similar to Swift 3, but supports an Intel Pentium or Celeron processor and only integrated graphics. It uses eMMC storage or SSD and offers WiFi connectivity with Acer AC True Harmony audio.

New Acer Swift series will be available in North America in June with prices starting at $599; in EMEA in June with prices starting at EUR 649; and in China in April starting at CNY 3,999.
