Acer Nitro XV282K KV Gaming Monitor with 4K, 144 Hz, and HDMI 2.1 for console gamers

The Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 both support the display of games in 4K resolution at 120 frames per second, but a corresponding television or monitor is required to benefit from this option. The latest Acer Nitro XV282K KV 4K UHD monitor is said to be perfect for the new consoles.

Acer Nitro XV282K KV gaming monitor

Acer XV282K relies on a 28-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, which achieves a frame rate of 144 Hz. A variable frame rate (HDMI VRR) is supported as long as the screen is connected to an Xbox Series X, a Sony PlayStation 5 or a gaming computer via HDMI 2.1 to enable a decent display without tearing even when the frame rate drops. In addition to VRR, there is also support for AMD FreeSync Premium.

The response time through Acer’s “Fast Liquid Crystal IPS technology” should be just one millisecond, so that not only the response time but also the viewing angles should be convincing. The new Acer Nitro monitor offers HDR 400 certification and a nominal contrast ratio of 100,000,000: 1. A remarkable 90 percent of the DCI-P3 color space can be represented on new Acer gaming monitor. The 144hz 4K monitor has also received TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certification.

Price and availability

The Acer Nitro XV282K KV is now available to buy from Amazon.com and Newegg.com for a recommended retail price of $899.99. This makes the screen a bit more expensive than the otherwise similarly equipped Acer Predator XB273U (approx. $499.99 on Bhphotovideo), which only offers HDMI 2.0 instead of HDMI 2.1.
