Acer introduces New Swift 5, Spin 5, and Switch 7 at IFA 2017

Acer took the opportunity to refresh its range of convertible and detachable laptops at IFA 2017, bringing up to four new products on stage: New Acer Swift 5, Spin 5, and Switch 7, which cover every segment, from ultrabook to convertible and 2 in 1 department as well.

Acer Swift 5

New Acer Swift 5 is designed for users who need maximum portability, solid performance and a touch screen display. The elegant body weighs less than 1 kg and makes it ideal for all those who are always on the move. The body is made of a lithium and magnesium alloy, while the rest of the area is an aluminum alloy and magnesium alloy.

Thanks to the power of 8th-Generation Intel Core processors, the Swift 5 offers an exceptionally fast experience and a battery life of up to 8 hours. With Windows 10 and 2×2 wireless 802.11ac, it allows the user to work all day, even at night thanks to the backlit keyboard.

The display is 14-inch full-HD (1,920 x 1,080) IPS multi-touch and almost minimal design maximizes the visual experience of the laptop. Acer TrueHarmony technology with Dolby Audio Premium provides clear and powerful audio, while Skype for Business certification ensures great quality in video conferencing and Windows Hello support via fingerprint scanner and Cortana.

Acer Spin 5

Lightweight, portable and enclosed in a metal shell, Spin 5 is the professional laptop for all kinds of work and fun. It’s versatile and convertible form factor allows the user to easily change the various modes such as a laptop, tablet, display, and tent, which makes it a perfect platform for creating and sharing content.

Extremely easy to carry, the 13-inch Spin 5 model weighs 1.5kg and is 15.9mm thin, while its 15-inch model weighs a 2kg and is 17.9mm slim. Although it is a portable device, it is designed to work with 8th-gen Intel Core processors, up to 16GB of DDR4 memory, up to 13 hours of battery life, and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card for the 15-inch model.

Both the 13-inch and 15-inch models support the optional Acer Active Stylus for incredible precision and greater control over all types of work thanks to Windows Ink. The Acer’s cordless antenna ensures a stable wireless signal, even if the antenna is placed under the metal body and even if the device is not in the optimum direction.

With Acer TrueHarmony, Dolby Audio Premium technology, and two perfectly positioned front speakers, the Spin 5 offers immersive and crystal-clear audio experience. In addition to better Skype experience, Acer Spin 5 comes with four microphones, combined with voice recognition technology, even in noisy environments, allow the user to access Cortana features four meters away.

Acer Switch 7 Black Edition

Acer Switch 7 Black Edition is the world’s first 2 in 1 laptop with Dual LiquidLoop fanless cooling technology and a discrete graphics card. Thanks to powerful 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and a NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card, it is the ideal companion for difficult tasks, creative productions, and content streaming. Designed to provide maximum mobility, the new Switch 7 Black Edition is incredibly versatile, lightweight, less than 1.5 kg without a keyboard.
