An Acer Aspire 5 laptop powered by the latest Intel Xe Graphics has made its appearance on Amazon US. These laptops are equipped with a 17.3-inch Full HD IPS Display, 11th Gen processors, Intel Iris Xe Graphics, 512GB NVMe SSD, WiFi 6, Fingerprint Reader, and Backlit Keyboard.
The Intel Xe GPU is an entry-level PCIe 4.0 mobile graphics card integrated into Tiger Lake processors, support DLBoost DP4A instructions to speed up AI tasks and two media engines (including AV1 decoding in hardware). Additionally, Intel supports transferring TDP between the two chips to improve CPU performance or balance graphics workloads.
Gaming performance is on average with a large TDP and a large cooling margin. There are even games where the iGPU is faster thanks to Deep Link and sharing of power and cooling. Intel targets games at 1080p at low to medium settings with the GPU.
The Intel Xe Graphics supports variable-rate shading, adaptive synchronization, asynchronous computation, DirectX 12.1, OpenGL 4.6, and OpenCL 2. It is manufactured using Intel’s modern 10nm SuperFin process.
