7Artisans 60mm F2.8 2x Macro for Sony E, Nikon Z, and Canon RF

7Artisans Photoelectric Technology has introduced the 7Artisans 60mm F2.8 2x macro lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras from Sony, Nikon, and Canon. It is manual focus and provides a maximum magnification ratio of 2:1, allowing photographers to take extreme close-ups.

The manufacturer claims that the new macro lens delivers high-quality macro shots with a soft, blurred background and is suitable for various photographic tasks, including shooting flowers, food, insects, products, and even portraits.

Macro lenses typically offer a magnification ratio of 1:1, sometimes even lower – up to 0.5:1, so a ratio of 2:1 is quite extreme. To achieve this, the new 7artisans 60mm 2.8 can focus as close as 0.17 meters. Focus and aperture are controlled via rings on the barrel. The nine-bladed aperture ranges from f/2.8 to f/22.

The optical design consists of 14 elements in 12 groups, including special lenses: two extra-low dispersion and two high refractive index.

The lens features a reliable metal body. Additionally, it weighs 550 grams with a maximum diameter of 70 mm and a length of 109 mm. Furthermore, the filter thread diameter is 67 mm.
