An Alienware gaming monitor with a claimed refresh rate of 500Hz has appeared on social media. The leak states that the Dell AW2524H will be officially unveiled at CES 2023. The Twitter post includes a few key specifications for the Alienware 500Hz monitor, along with a single image.

It looks like Alienware is planning to release a gaming monitor capable of running at 500Hz soon, assuming a recent leak is accurate. The details were provided by an insider on Twitter called chi11eddog, who has plenty of tech-related leaks and rumors on his feed but isn’t particularly well-known. However, as always with this kind of leak, it is better to keep a good dose of skepticism until the company concerned confirms or denies the information.

According to the post in question, the likely Alienware 25-inch 500Hz gaming monitor has model number AW2524H and will feature a “fast IPS” panel. Somewhat controversially, the Dell Alienware monitor is supposed to have a resolution of 1920×1080, which confused some of the people who commented on the leaked post. The Dell AW2523HF, a monitor capable of running at 360Hz, also relies on this 1080p standard.

However, the star of the spec show will be the ability to achieve a 500Hz refresh rate with this Alienware monitor, which will be an available rate with some overclocking and DisplayPort usage involved. The device’s alleged native rate is still an impressive 480Hz when using DisplayPort. The only information provided in the leak about the Dell AW2524H is that it will be featured at CES 2023. This suggests that we will likely see more information about the Alienware 500Hz gaming monitor soon.

Dell recently released the Alienware AW2723DF gaming monitor, which is targeted toward eSports enthusiasts and serious gamers. This 27-inch Alienware gaming monitor has a refresh rate of 240 Hz, which can be increased to 280 Hz through overboost. It features a fast IPS panel with a response time of up to 0.5 milliseconds (GtG) and is priced at $627.32 / £519.99.
