Samsung’s brand-new premium 4K short-throw gaming projector models aren’t cheap, but the Premiere 7 and Premiere 9 come with new software and hardware features. Samsung is also offering a free Freestyle 2nd Gen projector with every order for a limited time.
Samsung has announced two new 4K laser ultra short throw smart projectors to follow up the high-end Premiere projector released in 2020. The latest best UST gaming projector models are the Samsung LPU7D aka Premiere 7 and the LPU9D aka Premiere 9.
The Premiere 7 is the more affordable option, priced at $2,999.99. It uses 4K laser technology and offers a maximum projection size of 120 inches. It also has a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 2,400 ANSI lumens of brightness, and a 2.2-channel audio system with built-in 30W speakers.
In contrast, the Premiere 9 retails for a whopping $5,999.99. It uses triple laser technology, projects up to 130 inches, and has a 154% DCI-P3 color gamut. It also offers a maximum brightness of 3,200 ANSI lumens, and its 2.2.2 audio system features 40W speakers and built-in woofers.
While there are other differences, both 4K short-throw gaming projector models feature AI 4K upscaling. This technology can upscale lower-resolution content to 4K. They can also automatically adjust brightness and contrast based on the environment. Unlike the 2020 model, the new 4K laser ultra short throw projectors come with the Samsung Gaming Hub. This hub integrates Xbox Cloud Gaming, NVIDIA’s GeForce Now site, and Amazon’s Luna gaming service, among others, into one place.
