The Xgimi Aura 2 is a new 4K laser ultra short throw projector with high lumen and Dolby Vision that has been launched. It only needs a distance of 17 cm for a 100-inch image. It is also available as a bundle with the 100-inch Fresnel ALR screen.
Compared to the first generation, the new Aura 2 from Xgimi offers a whole range of improvements. The high lumen ultra short throw projector combines a “Wide Spectrum + Narrow Spectrum” hybrid light source with the Xgimi Dual Light 2.0 technology. This results in a high brightness of 2,300 ISO lumens and 99 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
Thanks to an ultra-short throw ratio of 0.177:1, the Aura 2 only needs 17.82 cm of distance from the projection surface for a 100-inch image. With a housing that’s 44% smaller than its predecessor, the Xgimi Aura 2 is easier and more flexible to set up. Xgimi’s ISA 5.0 enhances image alignment with intelligent features like autofocus, auto keystone correction, wall color and flatness adjustments, screen alignment, and intelligent eco mode.
In addition to 4K resolution, the high lumen short throw projector offers a dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. It also supports IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision. The integrated sound system with 60 W speakers from Harman/Kardon is compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS.
Xgimi uses Android TV 11 as the operating system for the new Aura. This allows easy access to streaming apps such as YouTube, Prime Video, and Disney+, but only indirectly to Netflix. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, three HDMI (once with eARC) as well as several USB ports, LAN, and an audio input.
