TTArtisan has recently introduced its latest autofocus lens, the 27mm F2.8, which was originally designed for Fujifilm X cameras. This lens is now available for use with Nikon Z and Sony E mount cameras as well.
The lens boasts a pancake-like form factor and is designed for use with cameras that have APS-C sensors. It is ultra-thin, measuring only 29mm in thickness and weighing a mere 93 grams. Its equivalent focal length is 41mm.
The TTartisan 27mm F2.8 is equipped with a USB port for software updates and is designed to allow direct adjustments of both focus and aperture from the camera itself. It also transfers EXIF data to the camera. On the body of the lens, you will find an electronic focus ring and an aperture ring, much like those found on branded lenses.
The optical scheme of the TTartisan 27mm F2.8 includes six elements in five groups, two of which have a high refractive index. The aperture consists of seven blades, and the diameter of the filter thread is 39mm.
The lens firmware upgrade can be performed using the USB Type-c interface to enhance its performance. TTArtisan’s unconventional approach in designing the interface on the back cap is distinctive, as it elevates the lens’ visual appeal. This design sets it apart from the standard interface designs found on most lenses.
