iiyama ProLite XCB3494WQSN 34 inch Curved Monitor with 120 Hz and KVM switch

The Japanese manufacturer iiyama has introduced a new 34 inch curved monitor with the XCB3494WQSN. The 120Hz monitor has a built-in VA panel with UWQHD resolution (3440 x 1440 pixels, 21:9), and a 1500 R curvature.

The contrast ratio is 3000:1, the brightness is 300 cd/m², the color depth is 8 bits and a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. Unfortunately, the specs do not comment on the gray change and only mention 0.4 ms MPRT (“Moving Picture Response Time”). There is also talk of 99 percent sRGB.

A 120Hz gaming monitor has two internal 2-watt speakers that are just as much a part of the equipment as FreeSync Premium technology, a black stabilizer, and a mode against motion picture blurring, to which the above MPRT information primarily refers.

Thanks to the KVM switch, two end devices can be operated with the same mouse-keyboard combination without the hassle of changing cables. On the connection side, DisplayPort (UWQHD at max. 120 Hz), HDMI (UWQHD at max. 100 Hz), RJ-45, a USB 3.0 hub, a headphone output, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode and 65-watt power supply. A DisplayPort output is also available and comes with daisy chain support.

Tilt, height adjustment, VESA mount (100 x 100 mm), blue light filtering, and a flicker-free backlight are available on the ergonomic side. The typical power consumption of the 34-inch is 40 watts.
