ZUK Z2 Pro with 6GB RAM, Health Sensors and Utouch Fingerprint Scanner Launched

ZUK Z2 Pro has been quietly launched in China, today on 21st April, Lenovo sub-brand first ZUK Z1 smartphone was launched back in August 2015. Today, almost after a year, Lenovo return with the flagship device – ZUK Z2 Pro with so many new features such as health sensors, OIS camera with 4K recording, U-Touch fingerprint scanner and much more.

It is highly upgraded when compared to its predecessor. The Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro price in China is around 2,699 Yuan – approximately $417 USD for 6GB RAM/128GB ROM model. As of now, no further information on international availability.

As the company said that its a world’s first smartphone using true 3D glass with a new streamlined body along with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top of it. All metal uni-body  with high strength and toughness, a Rollcage design that can resist high pressure and gives it more durability.

ZUK Z2 Pro features world’s first U-Touch 2.0 Fingerprint scanner to support a wet hand fingerprint to unlock the device. U-Touch 2.0 located in front Home button which is different from the traditional 3 button panel of Android phones, using built-in independent chip for fingerprint identification, uses self-learning algorithm so the more you use, it will become more faster up to 99.7 percent and you can unlock the device in just 0.1 seconds. In addition to fast and accurate, U-Touch 2.0 also recognizes wet fingerprint and efficiently unlock the system, there is also all basic gestures and other functions such as one tap, double tap, Swipe and long press etc.

The Flagship also comes with UV sensor for heart rate sensor and sun exposure located on the back panel, with this user can also measure oxygen or blood levels. In addition, it comes equipped with 10 different sensors in form of Health sensors that can measure user’s activities such as walking, running, biking etc.

Speaking on ZUK Z2 Pro specifications, the handset sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, along with 500nits brightness that can deliver a high pixel density of 424ppi. It is powered by a 2.15 GHz Snapdragon 820 quad-core 64-bit processor with Adreno 530 GPU. The device packs in 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage, not any information about external memory currently.

Talking on ZUK Z2 Pro Camera, it also comes with some innovative features. It flaunts a 13-megapixel Laser autofocus primary camera on the back with Samsung ISOCELL sensor, 1.34 large pixel, OIS image stabilization, f/1.8 aperture, hybrid PDAF, and dual tone LED flash. Z2 Pro can capture photos with “Heartbeat” calculation, World’s first camera can measure user’s heartbeat when clicking photos as you can see image below.
It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with wide f/2.2 aperture to capture wide group selfies and high quality video chatting. The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based ZUI 2.0 interface on top that also lets you sync with Apple’s iCloud as well. It packs a 3100mAh battery under the hood. It has a dual SIM card slot on board along with 4G VoLTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, USB C 3.1 as connectivity options.
