ZTE Axon 7 has been officially launched in China, it is the latest high-end smartphone from the company in its “Axon” series. The ZTE Axon 7 price in China around 2899 Yuan – approximately $442 for the 4GB RAM/64GB ROM model, while the 6GB RAM/128GB ROM model has been priced at 4099 Yuan – approximately $625 and available in Quartz Gray and Ion Gold color options. Along with the company also announced new Virtual Reality Headset named ZTE VR has been priced at 518 Yuan – approximately $78 USD.
The ZTE Axon 7 features a 5.5-inch 2.5D AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels that’s offering a very pixel density of 534ppi and the screen is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The handset is powered by a 2.15 GHz quad-core processor which is backed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 b4-bit chipset clubbed with Adreno 530 GPU. As mentioned above the handset is available in two memory/storage options such as 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of native storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB with the help of microSD card.
On the camera front, the Axon 7 flaunts a 20-megapixel primary camera with Samsung Isocell sensor, f/1.8 aperture, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and dual LED flash. It can also record 4K videos at 30fps. While there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture to capture wide selfies and better video calling. Axin 7 also features a fingerprint sensor at the back and has dual stereo speakers along with two dedicated audio chips (AK4961 & AK4490) from AKM. It also has Dolby Atmos surround sound for an enhanced audio experience.
ZTE Axon 7 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS based on MiFavour UI 4.0 on top of it. It’s backed by 3250mAh battery that also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, promises to charge 0% to 50% in just 30 minutes and 0% to 100% in 100 minutes. The handset supports Hybrid Dual SIM, where the second SIM slot can be used as a microSD card slot. It measures 154 x 77 x 9.8 mm and weighs 175 grams.
