ZTE Axon 7 Mini unlocked model now available in USA for $299

The ZTE had unveiled the latest smartphone in its Axon lineup – the Axon 7 Mini at IFA 2016, priced at EUR 300 – approximately $329 USD. Now the ZTE Axon 7 Mini unlocked model is currently available for purchase in USA at just $299 at Best Buy and Amazon online store. 

You can only get the Platinum Grey color variant for $308 at Amazon.com whereas the both Ion Gold and Platinum Grey color options are up for Pre-order on BestBuy.com. ZTE also announced the 64GB storage with 4GB RAM variant, but we cannot find any listing of this higher model in both online stores.

Coming to specifications, the ZTE Axon 7 Mini unlocked variant features an aluminium alloy uni-body design, and a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel same as the Axon 7. It features a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution that can translate a pixel density of 423ppi. The device has a 2.5D curved edge glass and its housing made of durable aluminum alloy.

This ZTE Axon Unlocked Smartphone is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core processor which supported by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset clubbed with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB. It also comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the back panel to unlock the device quickly. Along with dual front-facing speakers, Dolby Atmos surround sound and AKM4962 audio chip for an enhanced sound experience.

For optics, Axon 7 Mini bears a 16-megapixel primary autofocus camera sensor with f/1.9 aperture, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), and dual LED flash. It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and 88-degree wide-angle lens to capture better self portraits and quality video calling. 

This ZTE Axon 7 Mini Unlocked model runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow -based on ZTE MiFavour UI 4.0 interface out of the box. It packs a 2705mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 that is claimed to charge the device from 0-50% in just 30 minutes.

For connectivity includes 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, USB Type-C, and 3.5 mm audio jack options. For sensors, including an accelerometer, gyroscope, digital compass, and a proximity sensor. It measures 147.5 x 71 x 7.8mm, and weighs 153 grams.
