Zeiss Batis 18mm f/2.8 is an ultra wide-angle lens expands the Batis range of lenses for Sony E-Mount/Full Frame. This prime lens is ideal for achieving exceptional angles in Astro and landscape photography. This autofocus lens is specially designed for mirrorless full-frame cameras from Sony.
New Batis 18mm f/2.8 lens is also quite similar to duo Batis 2/25 and Batis 1.8/85 were launched last year, such as weather and dust resistant, so it’s perfectly suited to use in extreme conditions, made of highly robust yet lightweight metal housing and the OLED display on the lens shows the distance and depth of field, especially in poor light conditions.
Zeiss Batis 18mm f/2.8 lens has aspheric optical surface; Distagon structure known for 11 lens elements in 10 groups, including 4 aspherical elements and the remaining are made from 7 special glass elements. This ultra wide-angle lens with excellent close-range focus (25cm) opens up fully new perspectives. This lens is of course equipped with famous Zeiss T anti-reflective coating in order to provide greater image clarity, removing bad light, improved contrast, and ensure image quality while the light entering the lens.
