The giant online video streaming wants to put a foot in the television market. Google announced YouTube TV, an Over-The-Top TV content distribution service (and others) dedicated to the American market. With $35 a month, you will have access to smart phones, computer or TV connected to the Internet to a selected bundle of television channels, both broadcast and cable.

Among the networks that have already joined the initiative, we find the five major broadcast on YouTube TV channels, including Fox, Fox Sports Networks, ABC, CBS, and NBC, along with popular cable channels, including FX, USA, Disney Channel, Bravo, MSNBC, and Fox News. According to preliminary statements of the representatives of the company, the initial package will include thirty channels.

It doesn’t feature any networks owned by programmers that operate exclusively on pay TV, like Viacom, AMC or Time Warner (no MTV, CNN and AMC). YouTube is trying to pull the deal with Time Warner, especially for HBO services.
