Unreal Engine Japan on its Twitter handle has confirmed that the Yoshi for Nintendo Switch will be based on the acclaimed Unreal Engine 4, which reconfirms its remarkable versatility. The decision to take advantage of Unreal Engine 4 is certainly apt, since the motion engine has optimal characteristics for games based on the perspective.
In addition to that, Dana Cowley, senior marketing manager of The Epic Games has also tweeted that the “Nintendo is making the new Yoshi game with Unreal!” on its Twitter account.
During the E3 2017 conference, Nintendo showed some glimpses of Yoshi Nintendo Switch gameplay dedicated to the new experience of the much-loved character. The Yoshi game is 2D side-scroller features a cardboard-themed setting. You can pre-order the game via Amazon store and adventure will be available on your Switch on December 29, 2018.
