The Yamaha amplifier’s range has been updated with a new model called R-N303D. This HiFi amplifier is intended to be placed on a lower band with respect to R-N803D, whilst retaining the basic functions but with some substantial differences. The construction of the Yamaha R-N303D is simpler, so there are lacks of the “ToP-ART” technology. However, its low-impedance design minimizes the lengths of the audio signal paths. Even the digital-to-analog converter is different: it is a Burr-Brown DAC which supports frequencies up to 192kHz / 24-bit.
Compared to Yamaha R-N803D, R-N303D also lack the YPAO-RSC (Yamaha Parametric Room Acoustic Optimizer Reflected Sound Control) system, which is not surprising. The Yamaha Amplifier is capable of drive maximum power of 115W x 2 (4 ohms, 1kHz, 0.7% THD). The connectivity includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth (AAC / SBC). Therefore, you may play songs via the local network via DLNA 1.5 and is secured to the AirPlay support. Supported formats include MP3, WMA, MPEG4, AAC, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, ALAC and DSD.
The good news is the Yamaha R-N303D features the MusicCAST and can also be streamed to MusicCast devices in multiple rooms. MusicCast employs a high-performance wireless network to deliver music and audio enjoyment. It can stream digital music content from your smartphone, PC or NAS to other MusicCast devices in your home. It can also share the music from external devices such as a CD player or TV connected to the R-N303D.
There are also plenty of streaming services: the Yamaha HiFi amplifier can connect directly to Spotify, Tidal, Deezer and Napster. And finally the support for Radio tuner, we have DAB and DAB+ tuner. As regards the connections include four inputs and two analog outputs on RCA, an optical and coaxial input, and an Ethernet port.
Yamaha R-N803D price is expected to around EUR 399 and will be scheduled for August of this year.
