Xolo 8X-1000i with Hive UI and Octa-core SoC Launched

Xolo 8X-1000i, a newer variant of the 8X-1000 has been launched in India today. Xolo announced the 8X-1000 back in July. The Xolo 8X-1000i is available in Black color and has been priced at Rs 6,999. It is being sold all three major Indian online stores such as Snapdeal, Amazon and Flipkart, but you can get up to Rs. 500 discount only on Snapdeal. The smartphone will go on sale Xolo official stores as well as other offline stores.

The 8X-1000i features a 5.0-inch IPS display with HD resolution that offers a pixel density of 294ppi and also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz Octa-core processor that can backed by a MediaTek MT6592M chipset with Mali 450 GPU. It has 2GB of RAM and comes with 16GB of native storage which is expandable up to 32GB with the help of microSD card.

On the camera front, the handset bears an 8-megapixel Sony Exmor R Sensor on the back with LED flash and front has a 2-megapixel selfies shooter for video calling. It runs Xolo’s Hive UI – based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and comes with major visual tweaks. It is India’s first custom ROM that comes various customizable features such as themes, wallpapers, colour packs, fonts and more.

On the connectivity front, the handset supports Dual SIM functionality, include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and MicroUSB 2.0. It is 7.9 mm thick and comes with a 2000mAh battery which can deliver up to 11 hours of talk time and up to 352 hours of standby time.
