Xiaomi on Thursday announced its latest budget smartphone called Redmi Y1 in all new “Redmi Y” series in India. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 comes with metal frame and back cover with fingerprint sensor and Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box.
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Price in India and Availability
The handset comes in two variants, Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Price in India is set at Rs. 8,999 for 3GB of RAM with 32GB storage and Rs. 10,999 for 4GB RAM with 64GB of native storage. The device comes in Gold and Dark Gray color options and it will be available exclusively on Amazon.in starting from November 8th, 2017.
Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Specifications
This dual SIM handset runs on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat based MIUI 8, upgradable to MIUI 9. The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 features a 16-megapixel front selfie shooter with autofocus with f/2.0 aperture, 76.4-degree wide-angle lens, OmniVision sensor and LED flash. It has a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with PDAF, f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. The device also bears a rear fingerprint sensor to unlock the device quickly. It comes with a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and the front is covered by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass.
The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 is powered by 1.4GHz Octa-Core processor that’s backed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Octa-core processor coupled with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB storage with microSD card slot (up to 128GB). It packs in a 3080mAh battery which claimed to provide standby time up to 10-11 days.
For connectivity, the Redmi Y1 includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2, MicroUSB 2.0 port, and 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 153 x 76.2 x 7.7mm and weighs 153 grams.
