Along with the Redmi 6 Pro, and Redmi 6A, Xiaomi India also launched the Redmi 6 smartphone in India. It is a successor of Redmi 5 that launched earlier this year and comes with a 5.45-inch 18:9 display, 3GB RAM, Dual rear camera and rear fingerprint sensor.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Price in India and Availability
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 price in India starts from Rs. 7,999 for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage version, while the 64GB storage version costs Rs. 9,499. It will be available exclusively from Flipcart.com from September 10, 2018. The handset comes in Grey, Blue, Gold, and Rose Gold color options.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Specifications
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 features a 5.45-inch 2.5D curved glass display with HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, and 1000:1 contrast ratio. It is powered by a 2GHz quad-core processor which supported by MediaTek Helio P22 (MT6762) 12nm Mobile Platform with 650MHz IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. It comes with 3GB RAM with 32GB / 64GB of storage, which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.
On the camera front, the Redmi 6 bears a dual rear camera setup: a 12-megapixel rear camera with 1.25μm pixel size, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, EIS, LED flash along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera for AI portrait shots. It has a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture, face unlock and AI portrait, as well as AI, beautify features.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 also has a fingerprint sensor on the back and it has a polycarbonate back panel with a brushed metal-like finish. It also has a dedicated dual SIM slot, and Dual 4G VoLTE support, which lets you keep two 4G or 4G VoLTE SIM cards active in your phone.
The handset runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based on MIUI 9 out of the box and packs a 3000mAh battery. For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2, and USB 2.0. The device measures 147.5×71.5×8.3mm and weigh 146 grams.
