Update: Despite the fact that Xiaomi has not updated all of their smartphones to Android Mrshmallow, but the company is actively working on a MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1 Nougat, which is still in the test process.

It is also possible that the leaked screenshot is simply a variant of the Mi Note 2 Pro. The MIUI 9 is expected to be rolled out on selected devices such as Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi 3, Redmi 3S, Redmi 3A, Mi4S, Mi4c, Mi 5, Mi Max, Mi Note/Pro, Mi4i, Mi Pad 2, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Pro, Xiaomi Mi5s, and Mi 5s Plus in late December 2016 or early January 2017.
