Xiaomi Mi Play has been officially launched in China. It is company’s latest smartphone in the new Play series and comes with a 5.84-inch water-drop notch display, MediaTek Helio P35 CPU with GPU Turbo, Dual Rear Cameras and fingerprint sensor from the Xiaomi being launched today.
Xiaomi Mi Play Price and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi Play price in China starts from CNY 1,099 – approximately $159 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version is now available for order and company also offering 10GB data per month for 12 months in China. The handset comes in Black, Dream Blue, and Twilight Gold color options.
Xiaomi Mi Play Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi Play features a 5.84-inch 2.5D curved glass water-drop notch display with Full HD+ (2280 × 1080 pixels) resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio and 1500:1 contrast ratio. It has a glossy glass-like finish on the back with a gradient finish in some colors. It is powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core processor which supported by MediaTek Helio P35 12nm Mobile Platform with 680 MHz
IMG GE8320 GPU and 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It packs a 64GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.
On the camera front, the Mi Play flaunts a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 1.25μm pixel size, PDAF, EIS, and a 2-megapixel secondary camera to capture depth information in portrait shots, AI scene detection and an 8-megapixel front camera for a selfie. The device comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Xiaomi Mi Play runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based on MIUI 10 out of the box. It packs a 3000mAh battery and supports hybrid SIM slot with dual standby. For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2, and USB C. The device measures 147.76×71.89×7.8mm and weighs 150 grams.
