After some leaks, images and teaser, finally we have the official announcement of the new Xiaomi Mi Pad 3, the Android tablet from the Chinese giant for mid-range price segment to renewing more interest in this market segment.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 features a 7.9-inch retinal display with (2048×1536 pixels) resolution with a pixel density of 326ppi – similar to Xiaomi Mi Pad 2. It is powered by a MediaTek processor (we do not have the exact model detail, but it should be X27) with a clock of 2.1 GHz. It packs in 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB of expandable storage
On the camera front, there is a 13-megapixels rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera and build quality is good, is made of metal. The tablet comes with Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB Type-C, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS connectivity. The tablet packs a 6600mAh battery with 5V/2A fast charging support. It comes in Dark Grey and Champagne Gold color variants.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 Price and Availability
Xiaomi Android tablet comes equipped with a 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM – which is priced at CNY 1499 – approximately $217. As of now not any announcement or news on a version running Windows OS similar to Xiaomi Mi Pad 2. The tablet runs Android Marshmallow -based MIUI 8 version will go on sale in China starting April 6, 2017.
