Xiaomi has unveiled the Mi Mix3 5G version, which was pre-announced during the launch of the original model. The pre-production model shown at the China Mobile Partner Conference is able to exploit the new connectivity standard thanks to the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and the implementation of some antenna switching technologies to achieve download speeds of 2 Gbps.
Xiaomi Mi Mix3 managed to quickly connect to the 5G network with the integrated Snapdragon X50 modem, browsing on some web pages and playing some videos.
Xiaomi will be released in 2019 with two versions of its latest flagship, the one we already know, which was first announced back in October, and the second able to connect with the 5G network thanks to the Snapdragon 855 processor and the X50 modem.
Both are identical versions in all aspects, from the aesthetic to the sliding mechanism, which will only be differentiated by the processor. We assume that to be affected by the changes will not be only the connection speed, but also the price.
