Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro With 6.47-inch Curved AMOLED Display, Penta Rear Camera, SD730G Launched

After the launch of the Xiaomi CC9 and CC9e back in July this year, Xiaomi has now expanded its CC9 series with the launch of the Mi CC9 Pro smartphone in China. The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro is a high-mid range device that comes with a 6.47-inch waterdrop notch display, up to 8GB RAM, Penta rear cameras, In-display fingerprint sensor, and 5260mAh battery with fast charging.

Price and Availability

The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro price in China starts from CNY 2,799 – approximately $399 for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version, the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version costs CNY 3,099 – approximately $442, while the model with 8GB RAM with 256GB storage is priced at CNY 3,499 – approximately $499. The device comes in Midnight Black, Aurora Green and Snow Aurora color options.

The Xiaomi CC9 Pro features a 6.47-inch curved AMOLED display with 3.43mm small chin waterdrop notch, FHD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution, 600nit (HBM) / 430nit(Typ) brightness, 400000:1 (Min) contrast ratio, and DCI-P3 Wide Color Gamut. It is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor which supported by Snapdragon 730G Mobile Platform with Adreno 618 GPU and 6GB / 8GB LPPDDR4x RAM with 128GB UFS 2.1 storage / 8GB LPPDDR4x RAM with 256GB UFS 2.1 storage.

On the camera front, the device bears a Penta rear camera setup: 108MP rear camera with 1/ 1.33″ Samsung HMX sensor, 0.8μm pixel size, f/1.69 aperture, OIS offering 27MP output, and 7P lens (8P Lens in exclusive edition). A 12MP 1/2.6-inch 2PD Samsung SAK2L3 sensor with 50mm-equivalent, 1.4um for 2x zoom and f/2.0 aperture lens for portraits. An 8MP 1/3.6-inch sensor with 94mm-equivalent, an f/2.0-aperture telephoto lens with OIS, 5x optical, 10x hybrid and 50x digital zoom. For selfie, it has a 32MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture. At the event the company said that the phone has scored 121 points on the DxO Mark test, equivalent to Huawei Mate 30 Pro. The Xiaomi CC9 Pro has a seventh-gen in-display fingerprint scanner and runs on Android 9.0 Pie -based on MIUI 11 out of the box. It has a 3D glass back, NFC, 1216 1.0cc loudspeaker, 3.5mm audio jack with Hi-Res audio support.

For connectivity, the device includes Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C. It packs a 5260mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging that can charge the phone to 58% in 30 minutes and 100% in 65 minutes. The device measures 157.8×74.2×9.67mm and weighs 208 grams.
